About the opportunity:
We are currently looking for skilled Maintenance Fitters to work at our Burleigh Heads and Townsville manufacturing sites. As an integral member of the maintenance team, the Shift Maintenance Fitter will make a strong contribution to a high performing Operations team and team culture.
You will provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support.
Please note many of these roles are shift work: 12 hour 24/7 day/night shift pattern working 4 days one week and 3 days the next.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
- Carry out service and repair of Mechanical plant and equipment within the facility, Prioritise all types of given work
- Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipment
- Participate in all training as required by the company
- Effective reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA policies
- Point of contact when attending a breakdown
- Mechanical trade certificate
- High level of technical and diagnostic skills
- Processed based risk assessment skills
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
